Elimination of Communists: The communists were the arch—enemies of Hitler. After suspension of civic rights, Hitler turned on the Communists. Most of them were sent to the newly established concentration camps. The repression of the Communists was severe. However, they were only one among the 52 types of victims persecuted by the Nazis across the country.

Communist were classified as desirable and undesirable by the Nazi in Germany:

The Communist which were classified as undesirable were

  • The Jews, Gypsies and Blacks.
  • Mentally or physically unfit person.
  • Poles and Russian.
  • The only community which was considered 'desirable' was pure and healthy Nordic Aryans who were considered superior to other races.
